Was I wrong in this situation?

Okay, so I was driving for like the 1st time by myself. When I got to the end of my street that I live on, I stopped and then rolled forward getting ready to stop again because I couldn't see if there was anyone coming. Just as I was getting ready to stop after rolling forward a few feet, a car came in the opposite direction, slammed on her breaks, and blasted the horn at me. Idk why, maybe she thought I wasn't stopping or that I didn't see her. Now I am scared to drive by myself cuz this made me extremely rattled. Should I be?
